This is soooo me to the fullest. I've lost myself in my children's lives and forgetting that I had one of my own. I had company not too long ago and we were discussing old times. My son spoke up and told me that I needed to get out. Coming from my child to tell me to get a life says a lot. Getting a life other than just being "mommy". I feel like my obligation is to only my children until they become adults themselves but your blog about being a helicopter mom spoke right to me and reminded me that it's alright to live a little more for me and not feel guilty about it. Being conditioned to be a full time mom has conditioned me to be a woman who needs to seriously start living and enjoying the person thats been on the sideline cheering me on and that's 'me'.

Very inspiring! As I read your blog, it sounded like you had written what I was thinking. I find myself giving and giving as well to the point of exhaustion...lol. I like giving myself wherever need be. I'm sitting here right now with droplets of joy welling up in my eyelids because you sound just like me, willing to give for a good purpose and I think that purpose is love. What goes around, comes around, and through your experiences, love developed. Having a heart to give is what we all need to acquire and not feel ashamed about it or envied for doing so. Write on Mrs. Kimberly, Write on! :)

Kimberly,
You are sooooooo "awe" inspiring.... I agree that we all could benefit more by giving... It makes us feel good to do so and it blesses (hopefully) the recipient... I am going to make an effort to "give" more this year too... Thanks!!! Hugs and kisses.... You know I love ya!!!!
